Before babies are born, sexes are different. In an article I was reading, it said that if you place a baby boy and girl next to each other, the girl is most likely to look for a person and the boy is more likely to look for something that is moving. Have you ever heard that girls are 2 years more mature than boys? At birth, girls have more mature skeletal systems than boys which makes girls less likely to get skeletal injuries! Baby boys are more of the physical type. They tend to move around a lot more which makes them at risk for more more accidents. A woman who had 2 boys and one girl said that her daughter had better speech than her two sons, but she took more time to walk and she could not climb like the boys did.
Boys and girls also perceive senses differently. Through examinations, there have been more than 100 differences between boy and girl infants. Girl babies are able to perceive colors and textures better than boys. Because they are able to have such great perception of the many different things in the world, it may be one of the reasons why they choose toys with different patterns and colors like dolls for example. Within the first six months of development, girls are more sociable and more likely to "coo" at people and when seeing a familiar face. Overall, girls are more healthier than boys during their baby years.
Boys are better than girls when it comes to discerning location, direction, and speed of objects. By 2 months, boys can see farther than girls, but are less capable of distinguishing specific details. Boys are better at keeping track of motion.
It is amazing what people are able to do as soon as they are born!
